It’s going to take a lot of time and money to recover from the flood, but we didn’t lose nearly as much as some of our neighbors. A couple weeks later, it all seems like a bad dream.
I will say this: the government doesn’t care, FEMA doesn’t care, the city leadership doesn’t care, the insurance industry doesn’t care. They’re all miserable cretins, and we’d be better off without them.
