Save Energy, Save Money
Saving energy and saving a few bucks from the electric bill wasn’t such a big deal before. But now, things have changed. The price of fuel is increasing, the supplies are running low, and there is so much pressure for everyone to try and reduce their carbon footprint. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to try to save some money while also saving the planet.
- Keep your furnace in clean and properly lubricated. An efficient furnace will use up less energy and cost less to run.
- When doing your laundry, switch to cold water. A bulk of the energy used when washing clothes comes from heating the water. Also, wash full loads.
- Seal doors and windows well. Try to find leaks and cover them up. Sealing helps keep the temperature inside at a constant level, reducing the cost of heating or air-conditioning.
- Always wash full loads in the dishwasher and air-dry the plates to save some energy.
There are a lot more things that you can do to reduce your energy consumption, your electric bill, and your carbon footprint. The ones listed above are just a few examples. Just go online so you can find more ways to save energy, save money, and save the planet as well.
