Doll Up Your Walkway
Among the features of the house, the garden adds the most appeal. Not only does it have plants and flowers but also relaxation spots like patios, water features, etc. But a few years after the garden was made, you may decide to give it a new look and might not know where to begin or what part of it to change. One good do-it-yourself landscaping project would be changing the walkways in the garden.
Walkways do not add only beauty but also emphasizes functionality in a garden. Usually, they are made of solid pavements such as bricks but nowadays, there are a lot of new materials that can be used for garden walkways. Materials such as stones and wood are just among the fresh choices. You may opt to use stepping stones weaved with thyme or patterned bricks with holes where grass can grow out. Pebbles especially the white round ones are now a popular choice to decorate the side of a walkway. These pebbles can also be put in between planks of wood that will serve as the main walkway.
For a more beautiful walkway, installing or changing the lighting fixtures of a walkway would also be a great idea. Small light posts can help a lot in emphasizing the walkway from the rest of the garden. Floor lights can also be embedded along the walkway for a more discreet look.
