Pull Down The Curtains or Raise The Blinds?
Unlike doors, there are more alternatives when it comes to dressing up windows. There is the classic choice called curtains and for the modern times it is blinds. But by choosing one does not necessarily mean that it is better than the others. In fact, both are good choice and it just depends on what purpose they are intended for and where their function would fit better.
Blinds are usually found on modern homes. They are ideal for windows that need to manage the amount of light coming in. They can be easily adjusted according to the preferred amount of light just by hitting a knob or button. For the type of room, they are more appropriate for office setup where their functional feature and simplistic design will suit perfectly. As for modern homes, blinds are the likely choice because they can be controlled electronically and thus can be added in the list of appliances and house features in a universal remote.
Contrary to blinds, curtains are used for their aesthetic feature rather than their function. They also manage the amount of light entering a room but not as flexible as the blinds do it. Curtains are manually adjusted according to the source and amount of light. For decorative purposes, curtains are a more likely option. Their aesthetic features can vary according to the type of material used, the style of its cut and the other decors that go with it. Home owners have more room for creativity with curtains than blinds apart from the reason that they are cheaper.
